Parker County ISR
Dive into the best swimming experience with Parker County's safest survival swimming lessons
About ISR
ISR’s unique results are achieved through fully customized, safe and effective, one-on-one lessons with only your child and the Instructor. What your child will learn, and the way he or she will learn it, is what makes ISR so different from other types of survival swimming and traditional swimming lessons. Always putting safety first, ISR emphasizes competence, which leads to confidence and provides the foundation for a lifetime of enjoyment in and around the water.

Our approach to swim survival training
With just 10 minutes of swimming per day, for six weeks, watch as your child grows into a skilled and confident ISR Self-Rescue™ expert. We focus on a three step approach, teaching children to rescue themselves by floating or swimming to safety until help arrives - and refreshing their skills as they grow.
Step
2
Swim
Once they are ready, students progress to becoming independent swimmers! This starts as soon as a child confidently walks, typically around 12-15 months. They learn breath control, proper swimming posture, and the skills for the swim-float-swim sequence until reaching safety. In the final week, students practice ISR Self-Rescue™ skills wearing both summer and winter clothing, with caregivers invited to join.
Step
3
Refresh
As children grow, their enhanced strength, coordination, and cognitive abilities demand continuous attention to maintain solid ISR Self-Rescue™ skills. We recommend ISR students engage in regular drop-in maintenance lessons or an annual 3-week refresher course to maintain and progress their technique.

About the Instructors
Parker County ISR is truly a family business! Mike and Cassandra are a husband and wife team that live in Springtown, TX with their four children.
Mike became passionate about ISR after witnessing his oldest son go through the ISR program. He left the hospitality industry to become an ISR instructor and has never found work so fulfilling. When not in the water you can find him updating his home or spending time with his family.
Cassandra has been in childcare her entire career as a nanny and then did in home childcare. She always knew she wanted to eventually become an instructor as well and became certified. When not in the water, she can be found homeschooling her kids, and working hard with her homestead hobbies of canning, chickens, and holistic healthcare.
